Penn State (8-1, 5-0 Big Ten), which was off Saturday, checked in Sunday at No. 12 in both the Associated Press poll and the USA TODAY coaches' poll. Despite not playing this week, the Nittany Lions moved up four spots in the AP Top 25 and three in the coaches' poll. The BCS standings - in which Penn State was No. 16 last week - are set to be released Sunday night.
The Lions, who have a two-game lead in the Leaders Division on Ohio State and Wisconsin, host Nebraska at noon Saturday then finish their season at Ohio State and at Wisconsin.

I only hope the players can be focused on the games and not the Penn State nation falling apart around them. Penn State, live it, love it bleed it. benjluc

That's nice, but I don't see any wins on the rest of their schedule. Looks like another low rate bowl game this year. burholme
Nebraska just lost at home to Northwestern. The same Northwestern team that the Penn State defense shut out in the second half in Evanston. Nebraska is vulnerable, especially against a good defensive team. Ski Fast
