Of course, Penn State players are not publicly saying they're looking past Temple, but you can tell from some of their comments that they're very anxious to measure themselves against Big Ten competition, beginning with next week's conference opener against Illinois.
Also, coach Joe Paterno has taken the "no comment" route when being asked about the Maurice Evans-Abe Koroma situation. He did have something more plaintive to say during his Big Ten weekly teleconference, though. "We'll let that situation develop," he said. "And if there's something to say, we'll say it." It may take some more time. Penn State police are still conducting their investigation in relation to the small amount of marijuana that was found at Evans and Koroma's apartment. "I can't say exactly when it will be finished, but we're probably wrapping up the investigation shortly," Capt. Bill Moerschbacher said.
