O'Brien to appear at annual Penn State pep rally

Bill O'Brien knows the football team needs extra support this year, and he knows exactly where he can get it from -- enthusiastic freshmen.

On Sunday night -- six days before his first game on the Penn State sideline --O'Brien is scheduled to appear at the annual "Be a Part from the Start" pep rally.

The event, held at Rec Hall, is designed to get freshmen excited about joining the Penn State community. They are usually taught fight songs, the alma mater and a bit of Nittany Lion history.

Most students moved in this weekend as classes start Monday.
