If last season taught us anything it's that the race for the national championship is not over at least until Mark Mangino sings. Already this season there have been three teams atop the Associated Press Top 25 poll and a number of upsets (the latest being No. 10 South Florida's loss to Pittsburgh last night).
Penn State, meanwhile, has risen to No. 6 in the rankings and is poised to pounce should the five teams ahead of them falter. Of course, the Lions are just as likely to get knocked off. Tomorrow's road test at Purdue could be the one (Although I sincerely doubt it. Teaser: I will have my prediction a little bit later). Parity in college football is at an all-time high as this morning's story examines. So fasten your seatbelts, All Above Eve fans, it's going to be a bumpy ride.
