Lynn, Morris and Beachum could return against Purdue

Cornerbacks D’Anton Lynn and Stephon Morris, as well as running back Brandon Beachum, are listed as “possible” to play for Penn State (5-1, 2-0 Big Ten) when it hosts Purdue (3-2, 1-0) on Saturday at Beaver Stadium. Penn State released its injury report and depth chart Monday evening.

Cornerbacks D'Anton Lynn and Stephon Morris and running back Brandon Beachum are listed as "possible" to play for Penn State (5-1, 2-0 Big Ten) when it hosts Purdue (3-2, 1-0) on Saturday at Beaver Stadium. Penn State released its injury report and depth chart on Monday evening.

Lynn, a senior and three-year starter, missed two straight games – wins against Indiana and Iowa – with a head injury sustained in the team's win against Eastern Michigan on Sept. 24. Defensive coordinator Tom Bradley said after Saturday's 13-3 win over Iowa that he thought Lynn would be cleared to play on Monday.

Morris, a junior, was held out against Iowa after he tweaked his ankle against Indiana the week before. With both he and Lynn out, true freshman Adrian Amos got his first career start against the Hawkeyes and played well.

Beachum, who had been Penn State's second-string running back, has missed three games in a row after he sprained his right foot in the week of practice leading up to the Eastern Michigan game. He was seen without a protective boot on Saturday. Both he and Lynn were also listed as "possible" to play last week.

Sophomore Curtis Dukes has played well in Beachum's absence, and the second-string running back is now listed as Dukes "OR" Beachum for the first time this season. Dukes picked up 60 yards on nine carries on Saturday.

As expected, the depth chart lists Rob Bolden "OR" Matt McGloin as the Nittany Lions' quarterback for the seventh week in a row.

For the first time this season, running back Stephfon Green was included on the depth chart, listed as fourth-string. The senior, who was suspended the first five games, saw his first action of the season on Saturday, entering for one play and catching a screen pass for negative four yards.

The only other minor change on the depth chart is that an "OR" has returned between Eric Latimore and Sean Stanley at the starting left defensive end spot. Stanley was listed as the starter last week but the pair has split time all season.
