Kyle Carter out vs Indiana, Zach Zwinak No. 1 running back

Is Kyle Carter's season done?

Is Kyle Carter's season done?

The redshirt tight end has been a revalation for Penn State this season, which has relied on his position more than ever before. But Carter, who has two touchdowns, 36 catches and 432 yards, is ruled out for Saturday's game against Indiana with a hand injury, which he suffered in last week's game against Nebraska.

Carter was previously recovering from an ankle injury which sidelined him for one game.

In other injury news, safety Malcolm Willis (knee) and running back Curtis Dukes (head) are listed as day-to-day.

As for the depth chart, Zach Zwinak's rise to the No. 1 running back in Bill O'Brien's offense has been cemented. On paper at least. Zwinak, who has previously been alongside Bill Belton as the No. 1 back, is now all alone. Belton is the No. 2.
