Hull answers critics

Fairly or unfairly (it says here, fairly), middle linebacker Josh Hull has been the target of recent criticism over his play thus far this season. But the redshirt junior had the best game of his career in Saturday's win over Purdue. Hull recorded 11 tackles, all solo, and helped shut down Boilermakers quarterback Curtis Painter and the Purdue spread offense. He still has a way to go to silence the doubters, but Saturday was a good first step. He'll more than earn his keep this Saturday at Wisconsin. The meat and potatoes Badgers offense is sure to run its mammoth linemen and bulking tailbacks right at Hull.

It was also announced that Saturday's 8 p.m. (ET) start will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
