Wide receiver Jordan Norwood is the epitome of scholar-athlete and the type of player Penn State has long endorsed. The senior is finally getting some recognition after a great start. Here's this morning's story on the soft-spoken Norwood.

Also -- not that it was news by the time I reported it -- but suspended defensive linemen Maurice Evans and Abe Koroma are not making the trip to Syracuse and will not play for the second straight week. As of deadline last night, I wasn't sure if Andrew Quarless was staying home, too. But a State College birdie told me that the junior tight end is likely to be with his teammates in Syracuse.
