Devon Still Injured

POSTED: Sunday, August 17, 2008, 1:57 PM

Penn State's defensive line suffered another loss when tackle Devon Still broke his leg yesterday during a scrimmage. According to a team source, the redshirt freshman landed awkwardly on his leg during a pile up. It's not certain how long he'll be out, although the source estimated that it could be 6-8 weeks.

Still was trying to rebound from a torn ACL during last year's preseason practice. His bad luck continued yesterday, as did the Lions' as far as the defensive line is concerned. Still was expected to pitch in after the recent departures of tackles Chris Baker and Phil Taylor. Both were dismissed two weeks ago for violating team rules. Baker is enrolled at Hampton and Taylor is headed to Baylor.

Still started at Penn State as an end but was moved to tackle to add some depth to that position. The Lions still have a solid four-man rotation at tackle with Ollie Ogbu, Abe Koroma, Jared Odrick and Tom McEowen.
