Butler says Clark and Williams are OK
On a confernce call this morning, wide receiver Deon Butler said that the minor injuries quarterback Daryll Clark (bruised forearm) and wide receiver Derrick Williams (bruised abdomen) suffered on Saturday were not going to affect whether they play this Saturday against Syracuse. After the game, Clark said he banged up his arm on his 18-yard TD run in the third quarter. I'm not sure how Williams got hurt. Both players are not listed on the official injury report. The only change in that list is, of course, that end Jerome Hayes is out for the season after tearing the ACL in his left knee against Oregon State.
I've been a PSU fan and follower since I967. Hell while younger than Paterno they would want me as a coach to retire to. With this good start stubborn Joe Pa may coach till he's at least 100. A nice 4-0 start and hopefully finally a win over Michigan and maybe a surprise over Ohio St in their achilles Big ten. Bob Cronin
