Odd way and place to honor Kostenburg

...this is a test. this is only an olympic blog test. do not be alarmed. do not summon chechnyans ...

SOCHI – One suspects Sage Kotsenburg wasn't consulted.

The Deer Valley ski resort in his hometown of Park City, Utah., named a cocktail in honor of the gold medal-winning snowboarder.

There are two rather obvious problems with that:

One, Kotsenburg is just 20, too young to legally drink in Utah. Worse, Kotsenburg would probably drink Sochi's tap water before he'd visit Deer Valley.

That resort is one of the last ski-only holdouts in the U.S. No snowboarders allowed.

"It's kind of silly," said Kotsenburg's snowboard teammate Faye Gulini, "they're claiming him as their own when he can't even ride there."

Among the ingredients in the "Kotsenburg Park City Gold" are  whisky, cointreau, cranberry juice, lime juice.
