Radnor wins girls lacrosse title

HERSHEY, Pa – The Radnor girls’ lacrosse team defeated Strath Haven, 20-10, in today’s PIAA state championship at HersheyPark Stadium. After trailing 2-0, the Raiders built an 11-2 cushion with 4 minutes, 52 seconds left in the first half. Radnor senior attacker Samantha Ellis scored six goals. Four came in the first half. Junior midfielder Kelyn Freedman added four goals and four assists. Junior midfielder Allie Martin had three goals and two assists, while junior attacker Courtney Campbell added three goals for the Raiders. Senior midfielder Emily Garrity led Strath Haven with four goals and an assist. The University of North Carolina recruit scored the first two goals of the game. Teammate Ana White added three goals. Radnor senior attacker Samantha Ellis scored six goals. Four came in the first half.
