Aces, Whippets share national spotlight

This is something area soccer fans will be proud of.

For the first time this season, two

Southeastern Pennsylvania boys’ soccer teams are ranked nationally by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Adidas national rankings.

Lower Merion retained its No.8 national ranking in the latest poll. Downingtown West is two spots back at 10th. The Whippets were unranked in the previous NSCAA/Adidas poll.

Lower Merion (first) and Downingtown West (second) are also the top squads in the organization’s Region III rankings (Pennsylvania and

New Jersey). Central Bucks East (seventh), Father Judge (eighth), and North Catholic (15th) are the area's other regionally ranked squads.
