Bill Iezzi: Messina Ready for Softball Tournament

I'm looking forward to seeing Camden Catholic's Laura Messina pitch against Kingsway's Dominique Ficara Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in a semifinal of the Hammonton tournament.

Messina is on a roll, winning her last seven games, four of which were by shutout. As of Friday the junior had six shutouts and had given up five earned runs all season. Her batting average is .440.
