I spoke with Delsea boys' distance coach Ron Deckert after the Crusaders were clocked in 8 minutes, 00.12 seconds in the 4x800 Friday morning. Lawrenceville won in 7:52.88.

Delsea finished fourth and the top 12 qualified for the championship final Saturday at 4:10 p.m. But there was another heat and Deckert felt that there were going to be many more times under 8 minutes.

There were. But the Crusaders' time was good enough for 11th place and they advanced.
