Gregg Webb is listed as a freshman heavyweight in the NJSIAA Region 7 preliminary-round pairings.

So when I looked at the results last night (Feb. 23) at Robbinsville, I looked again. Webb (19-5) advanced to Friday's quarterfinal round by beating senior Mike Dwyer of Cinnaminson, 3-2, in an ultimate tiebreaker at 285 pounds.

Dwyer, who placed third in District 26, had a 26-4 record entering the bout with Webb. The freshman had placed second in District 28 after losing a 7-1 decision to Collingswood's Kevin King in the district championship match.

Now there's a matchup I'd like to see before Region 7 competition ends on Saturday, King and Webb.
