Bill Iezzi: Wrestling at the Ritacco Center

I got here early to see Washington Township wrestle Jackson Memorial in a state Group 4 semifinal. No one gave Township much of a chance to win, but the score was more lopsided than I thought it would be.

Jackson won, 48-10.

Daymien Scott (171), Karch Connors (285) and Ricky Carter suffered key losses.

Carter was pinned, stunning Township fans. The sensational sophomore ends the team seaso n with a 22-3 record.
