Bill Iezzi: Delran Wrestler Mike Gericke

I met Delran's Mike Gericke at a quad meet at Burlington Township and he was impresive.

A sophomore, Gericke wrestles at 103 pounds and is still learning the sport. So when he pinned Township's Pat Malloy with a half nelson in 1:16, the moment was special for him and the Bears, who won the m,atch, 40-25.

"I have the basics down now," said Gericke, whose record was 8-10. "I want to learn the harder moves to further my career."

Gericke some day hopes to wrestle at West Point.
