Young and Kafka split reps

With Michael Vick not practicing on Wednesday, Vince Young and Mike Kafka split repetitions at quarterback, Kafka said.

Vick has broken ribs, but the Eagles have not yet ruled him out for Sunday. Giants coach Tom Coughlin said that he expects Vick to be ready to play and that his team is preparing for the starting quarterback.

Young filled in for Vick after he was injured on Sunday against the Cardinals. Kafka was not active.

Along with Vick, wide receiver Jeremy Maclin (shoulder/hamstring), cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (ankle) and offensive lineman King Dunlap (concussion) did not practice.

Safety Nate Allen (concussion) and guard Evan Mathis (toe) returned to practice after missing the last game and were full participants.

With Maclin's availability for Sunday up in the air the Eagles signed Chad Hall off the practice squad. To make room on the 53-man roster the Eagles released safety Jarrad Page.
