Running back Brian Westbrook has spent a lot of the second half getting looked at by trainers on the Eagles' sidelines. He appears to have injured his right ankle. Earlier he had the ankle taped and went back out on the field. He caught a short pass from Kevin Kolb but didn't look very explosive. He limped back to the huddle and eventually off the field.

He's currently getting re-examined, but has not gone inside to the locker room. Westbrook had off-season surgery to clean out bone fragments in that same ankle. His injury was confirmed later by the Eagles.

The Eagles, meanwhile, are about to lose their first game of the season. They trail the Saints, 41-22, with minutes just remaining.

I'm tired of worrying about Westbrook's injuries. He's too brittle to be a full-time back in the NFL. Bring on Shady.

Sorry Brian, from Ft. Washington MD, knew your high school coach and your high school, you where great. The Eagles killed your game with there cheapness and a dumb coach.

Eagles lose a game and everyone is doom and gloom. They go back, look at the tapes, make adjustments, and come out next week and do better. We don't know the extent of Westbrooks injury, let's wait and find out. We go McCoy and Eldra (who's a nice back) we will be alright. RickRick-who do you like? The Patriots; they lost to the Jets and they didn't look good last week!!

Once the Eagles beat up on Chiefs next week it will be 2-1 and then a bye and hopefully everyone can get rested and get this thing rolling.
