An Eagles spokesman said today that the injury Leonard Weaver sustained in last night's 23-15 preseason loss to the Colts remains the same. The fullback has an MCL sprain in his left knee and is listed as day-to-day. The spokesman didn't clarify if Weaver had an MRI or not.

Coach Andy Reid said after the game that he didn't think Weaver's recovery would be a long term one.

Eagles should just forfeit the rest of their preseason, this is getting to the point where there's so many injuries that is actually making it more dangerous for the players on the field.

I'd sit desean out the rest of the preseason as well as a precaution.

I guess you want sit down the entire team so they won't get injured during the preseason.. they need to play to get into and up to real game speed. hiding them will just delay them from getting injured in the regular season. you can't play scared. football injuries are a part of the game, thats why you have depth. the other players just have to step up until the starters are available to play. the eagles will be fine, it may take some early games to get that continuity but we will be fine.

I'd rather have a team of 53 players with MCL sprains than a star on my helmet.. Get well guys, 3 weeks to KO that counts!!

I agree with tmoon, play to win, cant play scared. Only thing I would add is our schedule starts easy and ramps up, we can be bad for the 1st 5 weeks but we still need to win, we have a real run against division opponents from mid season and we need to have our shhhhhhtuff in order by then :-D.... Is it me or do Desean & Lesean look hot? I reckon we should only draft skill players with sean in their first name!
