Yay! Just what we need! Another in the long line of running athletic QB's who don't stand in the pocket and win Super Bowls!

RGIII is a throw first QB, unlike Vick. Try to only talk about what you know to avoid sounding unintelligent

Why do you follow football if you're that misinformed?...RGIII was fabulous at Baylor, into his 4rth game he had more TD passes than incompletions!...Depsite his fabulous speed, he's purely a passing QB with accuracy...He's a super prospect for a reason.

I second bearsfriend here. Not only does RGIII look to throw first, he does that rarest of things which is see that he is going to get walloped and YET HE STILL STANDS TALL IN THE POCKET AND DELIVERS THE LEATHER on time with touch and then takes the hit without flinching(unlike Mark Sanchez or the most scared QB I've ever seen in Blaine Gabbert). This is not a running QB at all.

I agree with only one part of this argument, and that's the "we'd be giving up our entire draft this year to compete with Washington and Cleveland" one. And even that, I don't really care so much about, because look at our last couple of drafts (the last two years). With the exception of Watkins and possibly Grahm/Allen (depending if they ever make it back to their pre-injury states), our drafts have blown when we had lots of picks to add impact players to our team. So trading it all away for someone who'd being predicted as NFL ready as Griffin doesn't seem like a stretch to me. It gives Griffin a year to learn under Vick who plays just like him, and he can come in whenever Vick gets hurt and misses time. And not to compare RGIII to Cam, but look at what Cam did this year with an absolutely terrible Carolina team...I wouldn't be so quick to say that it would be impossible for RGIII to come in as a second year starter and take us on a run to the playoffs and possibly a Superbowl. If Mark Sanchez could do it with a Jets team that won solely off its defense, RGIII should be able to do it with a far better (overall) Eagles team.

Not to mention that by trading up for him, we'd also most likely be unloading DeSean's or Asante's contract which would give us more than enough money to go out and sign either Lofton or Tulloch to sure up the MLB spot

Franchise QBs win Super Bowls. We should definitely do this!

Idiots! RG3 is worth it...get the veteran MLB from Detroit or Atlanta (you'd have to be an idiot to even think that the QB of the defense (for those who are stupid, that is the MLB) can be a rookie?!) DeSean and Asante, as well as the 1st round and a 2nd round pick, is worth RG3 and the future.

Idiots?? Maybe you should look in the mirror pal... In case you didnt know, Djax is a FREE AGENT, you cant trade someone you dont have under contract.. Not to mention Djax wants to be paid way more than he is worth. Why would the rams take a trade for Djax when there is a man named VJax who is a free agent and is 1,000,000,000 times better than 5'6" one hit away from ending his career DJax? Either way the rams would have to pay his salary.. They would be stupid to put Sam Bradford a young up and coming stud with a POS one trick pony like Jackson.. And Asante?? His contract is HUGE. Again, 2 free agent corners on the market, Corteland Finnegan and Brandon Carr who are both younger AND Can tackle who can be had for what Asante's Annual salary would be. If you think the rams are going to trade their 2nd pick for DuhShaun or Assante, you are the idiot budd...

Not sure why I have seen multiple comments regarding trading Peters. Giving up the most solid part of our O-Line so we can get a QB to play behind said line seems kind of dumb. I would love to get RGIII but giving up Peters, not so sure about that.

I used it as an example to be creative...Peters is a fine player, but to get a franchise player, outside of sending away a ludicrous amount of picks, that's a way...because it fills an immediate need for the Rams. Peters is 30, and he probably stays elite for about 2-3 more years...Jared Gaither is a FA from the Chargers, and can play...The same goes for Demetrius Bell, from Buffalo.

That makes some sense. Though I just feel as though an O-Line is something you can't just swap pieces in and out. It seems like our O-Line has finally found some chemistry and was a bright spot last season.

This same conversation is currently going on in Cleveland,Washington,Miami,Seattle...This kid is that hot. Using Peters as bait is probably the ONLY way we could essentially "steal" him. While I agree that the O line was a steadying anchor, it was done with a free agent combo Tackle/Guard (Mathis), a rookie 6th round undersized center (Kelce), a fireman turned Guard who has limited experience in college (Watkins), and a converted Tackle (Herremans)...That's how good old man Mudd is...Again,Peters is 30, but I think the Rams would bite, add# 15 and another 2 or 3...Trade off Samuel, maybe Babin...maybe even Vick (Miami?) andagain, it's reload city.

Yeah, I guess all of that is true. I know RGIII is the man, we are going to need a QB soon and I don't see Kafka as the QB of the future, solid backup? Quite possibly. But no franchise QB. I like RGIII because while he CAN run like Vick if he NEEDS to, thats not his first move. He is an excellent passer and can and will be for over a decade and even when he loses some of his pep and speed, his throwing abilities are so solid it won't matter. I guess I am concerned because I think the team as is is really only a few pieces away from a SB and taking RGIII is an acknowledgement that we aren't chasing the superbowl and I worry that a lot of our best players (Peters, Herremans, Babin, Jenkins etc) won't be here by the time RGIII is in his prime. Who knows though, maybe Vick goes down, he steps in, pulls a Vick a la 2010 and keeps it up and were in the SB a la Big Ben year two. Who knows. I just hope we find a way to grab some LBs and if we trade Peters, a tackle. I think were strong at receiver and even if we ship off DJax, theres enough FAs out there to make up for it. Cap space is the real concern.

I'd rather see them trade with Dallas, Washington and The Giants and try to get as many 7th rd picks in next years draft!...........Where have i seen that before?
