    would have to give up way too much! stick with Vick and upgrade the defense .. LB a must in FA .. Eagles draft sometimes poor .. this year draft with mult picks very important!!!!!

    Franchise Desean and package him in a trade with the Rams...a player like RGIII doesn't come along that often...plus it keeps him from going to the Skins. Sign a LB and Plaxico in Free agency and pick up a speed WR later in the draft.

    While were talking QB's, check out this little comment from our old friend McNabb on NFL.com.
    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d827430be/article/mcnabb-says-peyton-manning-and-redskins-would-be-a-bad-fit?campaign=Ext_Email_1st10_Daily

    surprised local media hasn't posted it. I never seen so many people comment on a story on that site like this one. McNabb was killed by majority of the posters.

    Stosh/Bearsfriend, I appreciate your input since I don't follow college ball at all. Using Stosh's trade package if the Eagles traded for RG3 they would have no #1 picks for 2 or 3 years and no picks until the 4th round this year, be down a WR [No DJax], still have holes all over their defense and be starting a new QB next year on a team that could be in awful condition. I'll take your word on RG3's talent but I doubt Reid would take that much of a risk without a gaurantee from Lurie that next year would be a vitual pass. The only thing that makes me think they might do it is if Vick isn't the answer and they want to cut ties after next year, where do they go for a QB? If they don't trade for RG3 are there any QBs behind the top 3 that have a chance at being good?

    Brandon Weeden was prolific at Oklahoma State,has a strong arm, and is super accurate..The thing is, he's 28 (spent 5 years as a minor league pitcher), but he's close to ready..Keeping him out of the first round is the fact that he was almost exclusively used in the shotgun..He is also slow afoot. Expect him in the second round (Chiefs love him)...My personal pick is Russell Wilson, the heralded 5th year senior who led Wisconsin this year (after spending 4 years at NC State)...he also IS a minor league second baseman...The guy is a GREAT athlete, (think Joe Theisman with speed), but he's 5'11", making him more of backup candidate..The guy is absolutely awesome rolling out,throwing on the run, and if necessary,scrambling...Wilson will go in either the 4rth or 5th round. There's always Joe Flacco if the Ravens don't make him rich...His friends have told me he'd love to come here.

    The is a tough decision. We all know MV will not take the Eagles to the SB with Andy. If Eli can win two rings then it show the QB is not the most important position on the field. From what I see with the two SB wins for the G-Men is luck in the first one and a poor NE defense in the 2nd one. I would love to have RG3 here because he reminds me of the most talented QB of all time for the Eagles - Randall C. Other then that the Eagles will never, ever win a SB with the brain trust in the front office (all accountants) or this coach. If I'm not going to win a SB at lease let me watch a great player play.

    I hate how people uneducated in football are allowed to comment. If you don't know who RGIII is, it's not because he's a no name, it's because you don't know football. In addition, if you think he is a run first, pass later QB, its because you don't know football and are probably somewhat racist (because you assume that because he is black he just likes to run) and stupid. If you have never watched or read up on the guy, don't comment because you have no idea what you are talking about.

    I think its a pipedream that the eagles have enough to get RGIII. Why would the rams want a wide receiver who is 5'9 and weighs less than a wet paper bag? His play this year cost him in his stock going down for the birds plus asante who can't really tackle is always a lock for jumping a route, only to get beat on a double move. I think the number 4 pick plus other picks thrown in is a better move for the rams, rather then our number 15 pick and 2 players plus one of our second rounders. Get this stuff out of your heads, just bc he met with the eagles doesn't mean we are going to get him. Come on people!

    Trade J. Peters?? you guys are nuts, he is the best player on the Eagles.
    I would trade Asante + all of Eagles 2012 draft picks for RG3; why not???
    Asante = worthless
    Eags picks = worthless (Howie/Andy blow every pick)
    Therefore we get RG3 absolutely free!!!!!
    If necessary, we can throw in 2013 full complement of draft picks.

    No, not nuts at all...He's 30, and he COULD be the way to get RGIII...How many good tackles are out there in the NFL?..many more than you think. RGIII is SPECIAL. If you're serious about competing to acquire, that would be the piece to get him...Again, Howard Mudd can make it work.

    Not opposed to it, it would give Vick a run for his money, plus it would be a great mentor mentee relationship with no other than the originator of scrambling QBs Vick himself (After Randall and Donovan of course). Eagles are a smart group, no one on the team is really untouchable except for Vick, Nnamdi and Lesean in this situation. (I am in favor of 3 good CB's we need all the manpower back there we can get)
