we would be giving up too much to get him. We need some good Lbackers and prob. a wide reciever.

With Neck Fatt at the helm it wouldn't matter if they signed the NFC All-Pro Team. Hey, wait! Didn't they already do that?

Could the Rams use Asante and/or Desean?

The Rams would love to have DeSean Jackson on their fast track, but only if he was signed long term...This is more of a PR move, but if they were willing to trade a Jason Peters, or MEGA draft picks, then the teams like the Browns,Redskins, or Miami would be in better standing to acquire that #2 pick, and take RGIII....One thing in the Bird's favor is if they get compensation dealing off Assante,DeSean, or even a Jason Babin...then they could recoupe quality (2's and 3's) and get good players, assuming they don't strike out again...If Vick is not in their plans past 2012, then trying to get this kid IS worth it, as he's special...But I still think it is more fodder than reality.

Who?? If he's the next great coming of Kevin Kolb, then forget about it.

Only if you want to write off next season...and if he is a bust, the next 5 years.

Actually, the kid possesses Vicklike athleticism, but is advanced to the NTH degree in passing IQ...Great touch on long passes. Has raw speed to run, but really looks to pass first...

They should! He has all the tools. Vick is only a short term answer at QB. Vick will never see the end of his $100m deal. People always want to get wrapped up in that figure but, the number that is most important is the guaranteed money. It's really only a 5yr deal. The 6th year is voided if he doesnt play 35% of the snaps in ANY year of the deal. It's actually a 5yr $80m deal. Of which only $32.5m is fully guaranteed with $3m guarantee for injury only. This is why they should move up and grab RG3. He won't be forced to start right away and when he's ready they'll dump Vick. Rams say hello to Djak,Djak say hello to the Rams! HAHAAA!! Swap 15 For the 2nd pick overall. Give them Djak(which they'll really need since they won't get Blackmon at 15). A 4th rounder this year, and next years 1st and 4th. That would be worth it to me. Plus you have to figure that we're going to be better than 8-8 this season(hopefully!) so the 1st they'll get will be bottom of the first round in 2013. If there not happy with that then thrown in a 3rd rounder this year. That will still leave us with: 1.2,2.14,2.19,4.4 or,4.19,5.18,6.17,6.25,and 6.31. Thats still alot of picks. Plus you can still collect an extra pick maybe two for Asante next year. I think teams will be more inclined to give us a better deal for Asante if he's traded for future picks instead of this upcoming draft. I'd rather get one great player for a handful of picks, than a handful of ok players.

Write off next season? It's already written off. The Eagles have too many holes to fill and they won't get in done. Look for Vick's replacement now and build around him.

Can't agree with that assessment...The NFL is easily the best league to change your standing from year to year...The Eagles are not as far off as you think.

Morons. The Eagles have to get a big defensive tackle and a couple of linebackers who can tackle. They don't have that many holes. They will make the playoffs next year, and after that, anything can happen.

While Dontari Poe is a freak, and would look great at #15, there is tons of depth in this draft, and a really good player can be had in rounds 2 or 3...(same for DE)..Linebacker and safety is thinner...Still wondering why the Birds resigned Jenkins, who is a good pass rusher, but not stout against the run...If RGIII pipedream is not a reality, then pawning off Assante,DeSean, and even a Jason Babin (value will never be higher) makes sense and the Birds could reload bigtime.
