Your analysis is only partially correct. Last year Vick had his greatest success staying in the pocket more, with high quality pass protection and a standout running game. Whe he's running for his life (and that has to do with his mistakes as much as the protection), he's throwing up the ball for grabs ina panic. So yes they need to run the ball to keep it out of his hands, and reduce the need to scramble.

Not exactly correct. VY played 2 seasons (2006 and 2007) before CJ was drafted, going 18-11. Then in 2008 VY started the first game of the season and was injured. He was replaced by Kerry Collins and the Titans finished 13-3.

Then in 2009, Kerry Collins was chosen the starter but when the Titans went 0-6, Bud Adams had VY come back in as starter. The Titans finished the season with a 8-2 won/loss record with VY as the starter.

VY was 4-5 in 2010 before the infamous injury and benching in week 11. He never played another down as a Titan.

So there is not a whole lot of interaction between VY and CJ where you can conclude that CJ carried the load.
VY was 18-11 before CJ got there in 2008, and 13-7 while they were playing together.

Interestingly, you could argue that the Titans went 13-3 in 2008 due primarily to the offensive contribution by CJ, but then how do you explain the 0-6 start in 2009 and the 8-2 reversal after VY started?

Personally I think that when you look at all of the data you have to conclude that VY was more of a force in terms of determining Win-Loss outcome than CJ... just as Matt Hasselbeck is today.

The other thing I would argue endlessly about is that the Titans never put an offense in place that fully took advantage of VY's running ability. Look at the way the Broncos are doing this for Tim Tebow. If your QB has difficulty playing to your playbook, sometimes you change your playbook to play to the strenghths of your QB.

Frank - why should he play, the season is done. The way these guys are playing why should Vick go out there? You mention Ben and Romo, but their teammates haven't quit on them. Ben and Romo's receivers haven't missed meetings to get deactivated for games, their receivers havn't dropped balls, their receivers try to get the first downs they don't just lay down. Their defenses play hard all 4 quarters not just 3. You may not like Vick but don't put it all on him. Ben and Romo's coaches don't call horrible plays. If everyone in the stadium and at home watching the game can see Vick was struggling and yell out run the ball, me included, but yet the best player on the team only gets 4 carries the whole second half, you really want to put it all on Vick? OK frank we get it, you don't like Vick, frankly I'm tired of reading the same rhetorical BS. You've made your point, move on.

TNEagles fan: Why should Vick play?....because the Eagles are paying this fraud Vick $100 million....and Vick's awful record is 3-9 in Eagles last 12 games..that's AWFUL...if McNabb or Kolb were 3-9 like Vick, people would have already ran them out of town. Vick is an overrated fraud and wants to quit with a rib excuse because he is losing....Vick that is 31 years old and has never won ANYTHING.....Vick is a loser...period.

TNEaglesfan is right, maybe if you would stop worrying about that 100million dollar contact you could see that Vick is not the total reason the Eagles are losing. We all know you are a fraud, now you are beginning to sound like a loser as well.

So Eagle fans, this is what you got for $100,000,000. Tied for last place in the division. a 3-9 record with your hero as the starting QB. A man that has been voted AGAIN the most hated athlete in sports. A dismal future. He is a year older next year. The defenses have figured him out. A franchise in total disarray. Oh yeah. Selling your soul to the devil for the hope of a few more victories,(that never happened.). Live with it. You all wanted it. I knew this low life was a horrible person to be on this team. And it is all coming to fruition.

Who voted people like you? And people have figured you out as well not that there was much to figure. We all will be a year older if we live for another year. Any person that continues to attempt to promote hate is a horrible person, that would definitely mean you. Any person who has hate in their heart, has already sold their souls to the devil again that would definitely be you. Now go save a dog.

You have to remember Big Ben and Romo have much better O-lines than we do. If VY stinks up the joint we can cut him and send him back to Wal-mart collecting shopping carts in the parking lot. I'm not a VY fan, we coulda' paid Jackson that loot. Fools Gold! (standard)

Tony Romo has a worst offensive line than the Eagles....Dallas has four new starters on their o line....let's face it, Romo has more heart and guts than Vick.....Romo NEVER missed a game with two broken ribs PLUS a collapsed lung.....and Vick is beggin to quit on this weeks big Giants game...pathetic.

Reading these dang comments is a joke. You people are putting down a heck of a team. The Eagles are good, very good team. He played with the broken ribs that should say something. And you dang well cannot compare vick to Romo. No way!! And another thing why is it that a Cryboy fan always want to recruit you when things go bad for your team, why? He won't quit...he'll play Sunday and win. This is a team...Jackson not only let the team down but fans. I hope they don't trade him but keep him and give him his due. With a win over the Giants, they will make up for the lost to Arizona.
