Vick won't attend his own Super Bowl party

DALLAS -- Michael Vick will not attend a Super Bowl XLV party that was billed as being his own, an Eagles spokesman said.
The party is scheduled to take place Friday at the Duex Lounge here, with heavy security, according to a report from the celebrity gossip Web site, TMZ.
The invitation has a large drawing of Vick in his Eagles uniform superimposed over Cowboys Stadium. It is headlined: "Super Bowl -- Dallas Dynasty 2011 -- The Michael Vick Experience."
And then in smaller type:
"Four-time Pro Bowl quarterback Michael Vick would like to personally invite you to the only upscale, A-list celebrity event of the 2011 Super Bowl. This will be the primary and preferred destination for inconic personalities from the NFL, MLB, Hollywood, the music industry and corporate America. Simply put the premier A-list high society event of the 2011 Super Bowl!!"
The last time Vick hosted a party someone got shot in the leg.
Vick attended the June celebration of his 30th birthday in Virginia Beach. The incident created a hailstorm of controversy when Quan Phillips, a co-defendant in Vick's dogfighting case, was shot in the thigh.
Vick has said he had nothing to do with the shooting. No one has been charged.

- Did you also google the origin of dog fighting in America you'd be surprised at what you find. This is a little know fact, the UKC United Kennel Club at one point used to support dog fighting, even promting it. Point is your wasting your time looking up worthless information just to fuel your hatred for one individual. Dog fighting was here before Vick and still exist, there were and are bigger dog fighting rinks than the one Vick had. So why don't you and the rest go crawl back into the dirt holes you came out of and let go of the Mike Vick hatred. — realtruth
- Everything you said they already know, their hate for Michael Vick has little if anything to do with dogs, if they were that concerned about dogs, they would be somewhere fighting that cause, not here on the internet whining about whether or not he is attending a party. I find it strange that all of the good that Vick has been doing in the community that all these reporters can find to write about is something that they hope will look negative for Vick. These people and most of these reporters are doing what they know how to do best and that is hate. Their phony pretense for dogs is old and quite transparent. — charmaine
