The Eagles' final preseason game against the Jets on Thursday won't feature many players. Here's what to expect:

- Safety Nate Allen, Defensive end Jason Babin, linebacker Casey Matthews and wide receiver Riley Cooper have been ruled out. Allen has a hamstring spasm.

- Mike Kafka is not expected to play, which could hurt his chances of making the roster.

"I've got enough time with him to be able to make that evaluation," coach Andy Reid said. "The main thing for him right now is, it's tender right now. Took snaps yesterday and you feel him and that's why we'll hold him out."

- The starters will sit, as well as some key reserves such as Jason Avant and Joselio Hanson. Linebacker Akeem Jordan will play at least one series, and maybe two, to get acclimated with the weak-side linebacker spot.

- On the defensive line, Antonio Dixon and Cedric Thornton will have an opportunity at defensive tackle.
