Report: Mora to Broncos nearly complete

The Denver Broncos and Jim L. Mora are close to reaching a deal to make Mora the team's defensive coordinator, according to the Denver Post. The move would eliminate one candidate for the Eagles top defensive job.

Mora and Broncos head coach John Fox met Monday and Mora is a "likely" addition to the Denver staff, according to the Post.

The deal, if finalized, would seem to leave Dick Jauron as the primary candidate to replace Sean McDermott with the Eagles, given that the team appears to be seeking out coordinators with experience. Mora was said to be a leading contender for the Eagles defensive coordinator job, but he is not believed to have even visited Philadephia. Head coach Andy Reid has been away on vacation.
