The Eagles have given Jeremiah Trotter a physical, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, but a team spokesman said tonight that coach Andy Reid still remains undecided about re-signing the former Pro Bowl linebacker.

Trotter worked out in front of Reid and other Eagles team officials Thursday. The Eagles are likely to make some kind of roster move in the near future because quarterback Donovan McNabb is probably going to be able to play in the Oct. 11 game against Tampa Bay. McNabb's return will likely signal the release of Jeff Garcia, who was signed as insurance when the Eagles' starting quarterback suffered a fractured rib in the season opener.

tjc...are you just plain asleep? The D needs someone to replace Dawkins and give them a swagger. KC was no test and until they beat a winner (NY, NE, NO, etc) and/or overcome adversity the jury is still out. Who would you say is the voice of the team? McNabbb? Westbrook? Come on...wake up.

Let's be serious. He was a pro-bowler and got cut a year later. That's not from getting old. He was injured. If he is healthy, and is even 90% of what he was, bring him in. He's younger than Brooking, Farrior, same age as Bulluck... He brings the intensity in the middle we need right now. Gaither looked good against KC, but I'm sure Reid has #27 on 11/1 on his mind...

Trot couldn't pass a physical when he was a pro-bowler, what makes anyone think he could now? :) I'd welcoem him back as part of our goalline package and in some other packages, as well.
