The Eagles will hire former Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave as quarterbacks coach, according to a Fox Sports report.

Musgrave, 46, called plays in Minnesota for the past three seasons. He was an Eagles assistant coach in 1998. Musgrave replaces Bill Lazor, who became the Miami Dolphins' offensive coordinator.

A former Oregon quarterback, Musgrave was seen talking to Chip Kelly before the Eagles-Vikings game on Dec. 15. He has been a quarterbacks coach with the Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, Washington Redskins, and Jacksonville Jaguars. He also was the offensive coordinator at the University of Virginia.

Kelly specifically cited Musgrave before the Eagles-Vikings game, and he later gushed about the performance of Vikings quarterback Matt Cassel.
