Brown-Harrison trade voided

How would you rate Andy Reid’s handling of LeSean McCoy so far?
Great. McCoy is on pace to set an Eagles season rushing record.
OK. Records are nice, but the team is 2-4.
Terrible. He should have six 100-yard rushing games, not just three.

Remember that Ronnie Brown for Jerome Harrison trade the Eagles pulled off just before Tuesday’s trade deadline?

Erase it from your mind, it’s been voided.

Harrison could not pass a physical given by the Eagles on Wednesday, according to an NFL source, so the deal was negated. The Eagles confirmed the voidance but would not provide any further details as to why the running back failed a physical.

Brown reverts back to the Eagles and Harrison stays in Detroit along with a 2013 seventh-round draft pick the Eagles received along with the running back.

The deal appeared to be favorable one for the Eagles. They got rid of Brown, who failed to live up to expectations, and acquired Harrison, who had shined for the Eagles last season as LeSean McCoy’s backup.

Brown’s days were numbered after he fumbled just shy of the goal line three weeks ago against the 49ers. The former Dolphin had a run-pass option on the play, but tried to throw an ill-advised pass as he was being tackled. Brown, who has 13 carries for 38 yards overall on the season, didn’t see the football the next two games.

Harrison’s tenure in Detroit mirrored that of Brown. He has only 14 carries for 41 yards and didn’t touch the ball in the Lions’ last three games. Last season, after the Eagles acquired him midseason in a trade with the Browns, Harrison ran for 239 yards on 40 carries.

Now both tailbacks will awkwardly return to their respective teams. Neither can be traded now that the trade deadline has passed.

Brown lost his backup role to rookie Dion Lewis, but will remain with the Eagles and resume his role as a reserve tailback, a team source said.

what will Andy do now without that extra 7th round draft pick? that could have been another slow safety who can't cover and can't hit!

So by voiding the trade we're stuck with Brown, who might get cut. Why not ignore Harrison's physical, complete the trade, keep or cut Harrison; and still have a 7th rounder for your trouble?

Maybe Ronnie Brown will do a Kurt Coleman and play to his potential...111eagle disappointed to hear that... Eagle fans stand up and are counted whatever the situation... There are always Haters, and people with their own diverse opinions... You don't have to like, agree or respect their opinions or points of view... That difference in points of views however is what makes Eagle nation strong...It is the Philly way . Go EAGLES.

Andy's at the Nova Care in a cold sweat after he just realized he lost a 7th round pick. They just lost their chance to pick Mr. Irrelevant. Could have happened if the Lions continue to improve and win the Super Bowl next year.
