Andy Reid went on 97.5 The Fanatic this afternoon and provided a little more insight -- although not much -- on the Eagles' draft. Here's a brief summary of his interview with host Mike Missanelli:

ON WHY THE EAGLES TOOK BRANDON GRAHAM BEFORE SAFETY EARL THOMAS:
Reid's philosophy is like many others in the NFL: If you're picking in the first round and your choices are between a defensive end and a safety, for example, you go d-end.

WHY GRAHAM OVER DERRICK MORGAN?
Reid wouldn't compare the two, understandably, but he said Graham has "the rear end and the big thighs." We'll leave it at that.

WHAT ABOUT GRAHAM'S HEIGHT?
Graham is 6-foot-1 1/2, Trent Cole is 6-2. Cole has been to a couple of Pro Bowls at 6-2. Reid doesn't care about height.

DOES COLLEGE LEADERSHIP MATTER IN EVALUATION?
Supposedly, nine of the 13 players the Eagles drafted were captains on their college teams. Reid said it wasn't the primary reason for drafting a player, but that it did matter. "We don't want someone that's going to be a headache in the community," he said.

REID AND GM HOWIE ROSEMAN'S RELATIONSHIP?
"Normally, we're on the same page," he said.

CONCERNED ABOUT CB TREVARD LINDLEY'S SIZE (5-11, 183)?
"Normally these players put on weight when they get in the league," Reid said. He also said that the Eagles did not try to trade back into the latter stages of the first round and get one of the cornerbacks still available (Kyle Wilson, Devin McCourty, Patrick Robinson or Kareem Jackson).

CAN NATE ALLEN OR MACHO HARRIS MOVE TO CORNER?
Yes, they can, Reid said, but they will both start minicamp as safeties. Reid said if the Eagles were to move one to corner, Harris would go first.

ARE THE EAGLES MOVING TO A 3-4 DEFENSIVE SCHEME?
(I asked Sean McDermott this very question back at the Senior Bowl in Janaury and he pretty much said that as long as he's the Eagles' DC, the Eagles will remain a 4-3 team).
Reid got Missanelli ralled up when started to answer that question this way, "Should we break the news here?" And then the punchline: "We're not going to a 3-4," he said.
