Projected Eagles Depth Chart

It’s a long way until the season opener on Sept. 12, but with the Eagles reconvening Friday for mandatory minicamp coach Andy Reid will get his first on-field look at the team he and general manager Howie Roseman assembled this off-season.

With the addition of 13 draft picks and 11 other acquisitions, there are a lot of new faces. On Saturday, Reid was asked if he may need to have his new players wear name tags around the NovaCare Complex.

“I’ll tell you, it’s going to be tough on you [reporters] and it’s going to be tough on me, too,” Reid said. “We’ll get it all done. It’ll be a challenge for these guys to make sure that their name stands out. Stand out and show us what they can do.”

That goes for a number of the veterans, too. Some may quibble with several of the new additions, but if the Eagles did anything this off-season it was to create competition -- especially on the defensive side of the ball.
There are at least five starting spots on defense and many more roster spots up for grabs. So let the race begin and may the best men win.

Here’s how Reid and his assistants might have the depth chart aligned after this past week’s draft and heading into minicamp. Bear in mind, this isn't a prediction of how the depth chart should look, but merely a reflection of how I envision the Eagles will list it after this coming weekend:
