Peters says he's playing

POSTED: Friday, September 16, 2011, 1:55 PM

How will the fans at the Georgia Dome react to Michael Vicks' return on Sunday night?
More cheers than boos
More boos than cheers
Cheers and boos evenly split

Jason Peters left practice early Friday because of an Achilles tendon/ankle injury, but the left tackle said he intends on playing Sunday against the Falcons.

"Nothing looks to be too serious, so they're going to check it out and see how he's doing," Eagles coach Andy Reid said. "He seems to be doing well now."

Peters was listed as questionable on the official injury report. If Peters can't go, King Dunlap would be his likely replacement.

Defensive end Darryl Tapp was listed as "out" with a pectoral strain. With Tapp sidelined, first-year end Phillip Hunt with be activated and likely play in his first NFL game. Hunt played in the Canadian Football League last season.

Other injuries: Quarterback Vince Young is questionable with a hamstring strain. Young missed last week's game against the Rams and hardly practiced this week. Reid said he is leaning toward not activating Young, meaning Mike Kafka will likely be Michael Vick's backup for the second straight week. Linebacker Akeem Jordan (shoulder) is listed as doubtful. Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was limited most of the week with an ankle sprain but he said he was "all-in" for Sunday.

OMG! The one and only sure thing on our O-Line is gonna be hobbled with an injury that will do nothing but get worse as he plays on it Sunday. I wonder how V7 would look in a suit of armor? Because right now the Falcon Defense is looking at him as if he were a T-Bone steak.....being protected by a gay Pekengise guard dog.

You know, as I started reading that post, I thought, any post that starts with "OMG" is clearly not worth reading. I was right.

When Vick sees them coming he's fine. The right side of the line is much more important in pass protection.
