Nnamdi Asomugha's charitable work got some national love this morning when he was featured on the TODAY show.

Asomugha, who said teammates call him "the Senator," takes needy students on college tours, hoping to show them options and opportunities. (The program was also highlighted in Marcus Hayes' excellent piece on Asomugha earlier this week).

Asomugha said his work for charity stems from having parents who always hosted family from Nigeria, no matter how many were already visiting.

He was interviewed by Jenna Bush Hager, a TODAY correspondent and daughter of former President George W. Bush. You can check out the full story here.
