Chip Kelly will not make a change at starting safety, deciding to keep Nate Allen at a position in which the Eagles struggled on Sunday. Earl Wolff will continue to rotate in Thursday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

"I think Earl is growing, and we'll continue to grow him, but he's still making some mistakes out there," Kelly said. "I think they're bringing him along, and we're excited about what his future is, but we still don't feel he's ready to go the whole way."

Kelly said Wolff "wasn't in the failure category," though, and called the fifth-round pick "a work in progress."

He might take the job over later this season if the Eagles continue to struggle.

Wolff played 49 snaps on Sunday. Allen played 63. The Eagles used a three-safety look at times because of injury at cornerback.

One of those injuries was Bradley Fletcher, who missed Sunday's game with a concussion. Fletcher was cleared and practiced with the Eagles on Monday.

The only player who didn't practice was Brandon Hughes, who has a hamstring injury.
