Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has been cleared by an independent neurologist and can be cleared to play. Vick has already been declared out on Thursday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he can now play next Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins.

Vick suffered his concussion on Nov. 11 and underwent a slow recovery process. He stagnated at the fourth stage of the five-step process, having trouble with an ImPACT test that measures his cognitive function. The problem was with Vick's eye tracking.

Upon Vick's return, he will be the No. 2 quarterback to Nick Foles. Foles will start his fifth game when he faces the Bengals on Thursday and has shown progress each week.

Vick has 2,165 passing yards this season while completing 58.5 percent of his passes for 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
