McNabb updates condition

POSTED: Monday, September 21, 2009, 5:14 PM

Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb gave an update on his condition this afternoon through the team's media relations department, but could not say if he thought he'd be ready to play Sunday against Kansas City. He, of course, sat out Sunday's loss to New Orleans with a fractured rib.

"I wish I had an answer, but I don't," he said.  "I feel pretty good, better than last Monday. It's one day at a time. I think there is a process that is going on, and the progression makes you feel confident that things are going to be better. Hopefully, it will be quicker than later. I'm looking forward to being back out on the field."

no reason for him to play before the bye - if they cant beat KC with Kolb, he (Kolb) doesnt belong on this team.

Yeah, the Saints game would've easily been 48-25 instead of 22 if McNabb was playing! Kolb made a few mistakes, McNabb always makes a few mistakes. Neither plays defense or special teams unfortunately.

If Andy Reid would play Vick then i would agree with most and say see you after the bye, but since he already said Kolb will play if McNabb can't then i say don your flak jacket Donovan! We can't win with Kolb, and this is not his year to learn/rebuild. Every loss puts further away from the playoffs. Did anyone see the Dallas Giants game lastnight?

Why is it everywhere you go on the net the people that post comments are always the angriest people you'll ever read a comment from?

Funny people keep blaming kolb for that game. He threw 1 pic when the game was close. Special teams and lose secondary play lost that game for us

Kolb had a decent game but Garcia represents the best chance to win. The Eagles give up nothing switching from McNabb to Garcia. The Birds' version of the Wildcat will not equal the Miami version. The Fins run the Wildcat with a running back/fullback hybrid. I agree with Boomer that Vick won't hit between the tackles like Brown does.

there goes bill and lonewolf again.. hey bill will you please learn something about football before you post.. yesterday you said kolb was 12 most yards of any eagles qb for one game.. he is not even in the top 25.. and mcnabb will be traded.. well the trade deadline is in a month, not the end of the season you moron... lonewolf, you ignored this yesterday so lets try again... last year nfc championship mcnabb throws 3td and 1 int, and throws for 375 and you wanted his head, the defense could not stop the cards in the final drive and you didnt blame them at all.. sunday kolb goes 391 2 td and 3 int and you blame the defense when they were on the field for 86 plays.. how about kolb going 3 and out 2 times in a row (14 points) and then a pick 6... the defense was on the field the whole 3rd quarter.. why do you hold mcnabb to higher standard? is it becasue you know he is better then kolb? please respond this time and stop being a coward... my man
