McNabb in the house

POSTED: Friday, May 29, 2009, 1:29 PM

The Eagles closed rookie camp today and there wasn't much news to come out of the final day of practice for first year guys and selected vets. You'll be happy to know, however, that Donovan McNabb -- who spent the last few weeks in Arizona -- was back in town. The quarterback worked out at the NovaCare complex and is expected to report to Tuesday's organized team activity for the entire roster.

He was unavailable for comment. The Eagles PR staff isn't optimistic that McNabb will speak to the media next week.

Tight end Cornelius Ingram was back to full go after injuring his left knee two days ago. Yesterday he didn't participate in noncontact drills. Today he was involved in each drill and looked healthy. The rookie tweaked his knee when he got tangled up between two defenders on a pass play. He admitted that he was slightly worried when he first noticed it was the same knee he injured last August. Ingram tore his ACL before his senior season and missed the entire year. "I'll be honest, I was a little scared at that time," he said. "But once I got up the pain started to ease away a little bit. I went to the doctor yesterday morning and he checked everything out. Everything looked fine and I'm out here running around today."

Also, kicker David Akers and punter Sav Rocca made their first appearances, however brief, at the OTAs. They left before new punter Ken Parrish put on another solid display of boots.

The Eagles PR staff isn't optimistic that McNabb will speak to the media next week. Looks like #5 is still in his Diva mode.

Irish - what do you want McNabb to say? He addressed the Eagles draft a few weeks ago. Did something else happen that you feel Donovan needs to talk about? Are ya lonely??

Looks like Irish Frank needs to get out of the basement in Fish and get a life. Best QB in Eagles' history. Welcome back Don.

Does not have to be a complainer to talk to the media. Not sure why your views are so narrow.

Lonewolf, what do you have against McNabb? You make it sound like he's the worst qb to ever put on an Eagles' uniform and hasan't won a freaking game in 10 years. Get some help, dude.

I'm glad D Dog is back in town. Hopefully this shows he's more dedicated to perform and win a SB this year.

The birds will be the pick for a lot of 'experts' in a few months. Just heard a talking head say today that Donnie Mac was going to be an Eagle for at least 4 more years...and we are the team to beat. AR and Banner know what they're doing - this will be a fun year!

Who puts up more passing yards: Brady, Cutler, Brees, or DMac. I think if these young receivers get it together quickly it might be the greatest show on artificially manufactured field turf.

Are the Phillies going to get rained out tonight? I'm on the West Coast and there is no way to tell with Philly.com. Oh, yeah, and great article. Extremely informative.

Really, it's a no win situation for #5. He really has no reason to s/w the media. No matter what he say's someone's gonna twist it around to stir up shat (lonewolf?). I can see your point Lonewolf about the leadership issues of McNabb but I firmly believe he's the best the Iggles have right now and have had for 40+ years. No matter how good Kolb will be in the future, it'd be a rebuilding, 6-10 year at best if he was starting.

why should he say anything? every time he does it just gets twisted to suit whoever he talks to.Even when he doesent talk it still gets twisted. Its a no win situtation for him.

What happened to "no comment"? That was the smartest thing you said all week. Too bad it didn't last. So you don't think DM can win but you think Kolb can? Must have been his sterling play to date that inspires that confidence. And you think DM came to talk to the press and at the same time you complain when he doesn't talk? Like Dierte says, no matter what he does....

Yeah, dooshbag, I have a pretty cool job. "Shelekrika," "McSoftie." So...Lonep*ssy, you are just going to keep using the same old tired jabs, huh? That's what you do then? Wow. You're hard to figure out. Figures your a rightist....the racism and ignorance and obviosness kind of gives it away. Why don't you do us all a HUGE favor and allow Dick Cheney to take you hunting...two morons with guns sounds pleasant.

Good post LJL. The Blowfish have really been struggling without McNabb as their frontman. Electrica - we are in agreement on our political persuasions, just not Hootie.
