Donovan McNabb declined to speak with reporters today following his first practice in weeks, but the Eagles quarterback did find the time to sit down with Dave Spadaro of PhiladelphiaEagles.com (insert joke here).

"I feel pretty good," McNabb said, according to the Eagles' Web site. "After the bye week, I was able to do a lot of different things in practice as well as preparing for the game."

McNabb, who missed the last two games with a fractured rib, was not asked if he plans on playing Sunday against Tampa Bay, although all signs point to his playing. He did, however, talk about how exciting it was to get back out on the field (Yeah!) and how he was able to work up a good shaving cream.

"It was very exciting," he said. "I had an opportunity to move around a little bit, get a good sweat, a good lather, and look forward to progressing throughout the week.

"The key for me is to get that timing back to where we had it in training camp as well as in preseason. I think also for me to be able to recognize different things and be able to answer the question to what the defense is trying to display to us. And I think as an offense, we have to keep this thing rolling."

McNabb meets with the non-Spadaros on Wednesday.

Funny opening line! Given Kolb's progress and that they are playing TB, I would not play McNabb for at least one more week.

Gee, wonder why McNabb doesn't like talking to you guys. Every time you mention his name, there's a sarcastic, condescending tone and usually pouting or whining because he won't talk to you. Can't imagine why he wouldn't be thrilled to talk to you guys.

Yo Donovan Guy, trashing Kolb and calling him Klob just shows that you are a big Ahole. I happen to be a McNabb fan but, I am an Eagles fan first and foremost. I would let Kolb play against a really crappy Tampa team if Donovan is not ready. That being said, I don't believe Donovan will do that because he is feeling the pressure. I don't care who's defense it is he did something that has NEVER been done and if you can't see that you are truly an Ahole!!

I don't know all the stats from the Carolina game, but it's hard to put up offensive stats when a punt gets returned for a touchdown, and the defense is scoring touchdown or returning interceptions to the 10 yard line. I'm an Eagles fan, so I cheer for who's on the field and wearing green. Being negative will only bring yourself down
