Hold open tryouts for any defensive player who 1) can tackle and 2) has the endurance to last 4 quarters.

One coach acts as if he knows it all and has won nothing.

Another coach acts as if he's just one of the boys and he's on his way to a second title.

What do do? Just watch the Phils!

    1) Sign Mike Mamula 2) There's a great 35 year old Ontario paramedic converted to safety that we could take Top 10 in next year's draft!

Put Andy in at linebacker.. I know he can't do the job, but it would be entertaining comedy and he deserves to be punished for this pile of stench that he's given us.

Get Les to smack Jeff McLane one more time. It will get more ratings than the next Eagles game.

Pull the plug on Andy Jeffery...as long as this is a re-building year...give the new coach this year to evaluate what he has and where he needs to go.......and then the off season gives him a chance to unload the drek (3 linebackers 2 safeties, 3 offensive lineman) and trade, go after free agents and draft good players) oh yes jeffery...keep Joe to count your money....he does do that well....but get rid of mail boy Howie as his knowledge of players and NFL talent is non-existence or thru his fantasy football team.....and hire a real football guy.....This is not brain surgery.....it is football...you know block, tackle and run......and we have about 8 on defense that don't know how to tackle and at least 5 or offense that don't know how to block......Jeffery...this will be your legacy....yes you made or will make alot of money, but when you are sitting around at the old boys club, won't you be sad to be the only one who never won anything....

same thing they always needed to do (didn;t watch the vid). Learn to tackle. learn to play. learn to coach. learn to adjust your plan to the opponent (snicker). hey.. it's the dream team. we can dream too.

Andy was hired because of his expertise in the "long-snap" so what's the problem....17 long snaps in a row...no problem

Even with the talent on this team, the Eagles cannot win despite Andy Reid...

Eagles need a Defense which can stop somebody. It is not enough to outscore your opponent! Defenses win Superbowls!

12 Games to go. The last time the Eagles were 1-3 to start the season was in 2007 and won the next 3. I hope learning from their mistakes they can come back and win the next 12. Play together, learn from your mistakes, Michael run, Run Michael Run!!

What do they do now? Fire Reid. They need a fresh start. He is clearly not the answer.

There are what, 5 or 6 billion people in the world. There has to be a few big fat guys somewhere + fast big folks who can play linebacker and safety. Try Kenya or Mongolia. We already have Nigeria tied up.

Hold a raffle each week with the winner allowed to be on the sidelines and make the play calls inside the redzone. I would limit the age to 10 and older. Believe me, they can't do any worse than what is happening now with Smarty Marty and Andy the Arrogant!

Purge the team of felons and scumbags. We'll need a QB and another WR but in the long run it will pay off.

What to do? How about the Eagles watching a few high school football games and taking notes for a start.

Everybody says Gruden or Cowher.. which to me, Cowher is Andy Reid with a little luck and Gruden is a guy who inherited another man's squad and when decision time came, put Tampa right back in the toilet... how about the man who won put Gruden's team together and finished what Jim Mora couldn't: Tony Dungy. Dungy would be fantastic here.

They won't do that. Dungy is black.

Yeah Dungy would be a good fit and with the talent we have Herm Edwards wouldn't be a bad choice either.

I like the comment about fan feedback for suggested plays in the red zone. Each week Reid gets a sealed envelope from one of us with a 1st and goal play from the 8 yard line. They have an 18 yard field to play with. They're terrible in any power game where the field becomes about 2 yards of disputed territory. So every play you do use all the space. It's what the Eagles do best. Watching them try for short yardage...probably for the past 4 years, is like watching Wiley Coyote try to catch the Roadrunner.
Yes the defense is bad. It is all over the league. If the Eagles don't squander all these opportunities and avoid the misfortunes like
the Atlanta red zone fumble that turned around the game, all kinds of bumbling on Sunday, etc, they'd have a winning record and we'd be concerned but not bellyaching over the 2nd half sieve of a defense.
I wrote to Sheridan requesting that instead of his rancor about the obvious who could spark some life into us with such a contest.

Does it really matter? This team is going nowhere fast. Every team has figured out how to beat the boo birds..RUN RUN and RUN again.
The way the opponent chews up ground is disgusting. A QB who is not a pocket passer...IM not prejudice but in all the years of the Super Bowl only 1 Afro American QB has ever one it..1 time..think about it.
This team can't block and can't tackle, forget the corners buy the time the RB/FB WR are out there it's to late for a small corner to do anything except watch them go bye bye......on top of all this ranting get rid of Big Red its TIME for a change. Been time a few years ago.

Andy looks like a caged animal in that photo. How about Marty Morninweg as Skipper? I think he learned to take the ball in overtime. He's done a great job with Vick. Give him a good D coordinator and who knows? Worth a shot.

That's why education is important. It teaches you how to THINK. The other poster who says that not one African-American (it's not Afro-American any more buddy) has won a Super Bowl thinks that he has a point.

So let's see. Does he? Well here's the stats: As of the 2008 NFL Draft, 96 African-American quarterbacks (13%) had been drafted out of a total number of 719 quarterbacks drafted going back to the first NFL Draft in 1936. Of these 96, 33 were converted to other positions. So, in 52 years there have been 63 black quarterbacks compared to over 610 white quarterbacks.

So in any given year, there are 10 times as many white quarterbacks playing as black ones. So let's do some simple math. Only ONE team a year can win a super bowl. This means that as the league expanded from 26 teams in 1970 to 32 teams currently, the chance for any one team to win the Super Bowl does down. Winning a Super Bowl is a combination of luck, skill, organizational excellence, etc. But if you simply pick a Super Bowl winner by putting the list of teams in a hat, 9 times out of 10 the Super Bowl winner will be a white quarterback!!! And that's based on odds alone. When you factor in everything else, it's absolutely ludicrous to correlate whether a team has a black quarterback to whether a team wins the Super Bowl.

Hello, Dan Fouts, Dan Marino, Rich Gannon, Jim Kelly, Boomer Esaison, etc. I can go on and on about the GREAT white quarterbacks that never won a Super Bowl. And yet, Trent Dilfer did. That blows up argument right there buddy. To say that a small 10% cross section of the NFL did not win a superbowl is like saying the Cleveland Browns and Arizona Cardinals can't win a Super Bowl because their uniforms suck. There is NO logic attached to it, which shows that you are UNEDUCATED. GO TO SCHOOL AND LEARN HOW TO THINK!

As long as every seat has an A** in it, Reid ain't going nowhere. We keep hearing its a business and the "business" is making money. Sold-out stadium = making money! Get used to it Philly..Big Red is here to stay!

Not sure there is anything we can do-hope the arena league reopens and we can get in? Never have been built to stop the run and it is killing us now. We give up late leads due to being worn down by teams pushing us around.

I still like the Eagles to finish no worse than 10-6. What could one with some reason expect of a defense in the NFL with 5 new faces?

We don't have a tight end in Philly to complement the outside threats unless you're an individual with limited Football I.Q and believe Celek is a quality Tight End in the NFL.

Considering the flaws on this Team, and Coaching, I like the Eagles to finish no worse than 10-6.

It's not like the league is now,or has been in the last decade, filled with solid teams.
