The defensive approach is simply not working. Say all you want about Assante's lack of agressive tackling but he is one of the best cover guys in the league. He was 5 yards off the receiver on the touchdown toss to the right corner. That is the defensive scheme. All the D-backs are out of position and the wide nine exposes the lack of experience in our linebackers. The defense is a flop and, very likely, so is the season.

I agree with the above, so many play makers on defense that are exposed for their weaknesses. It is like they don't know where the other guys on the field will be. All that said, the birds were one a fake punt away from winning the game. Unfortunately the Bears are a mediocre team, but average would be a step up from how the Eagles are playing. I don't think you need to clean house but they do need to find someone who can take a handful of probowl defenders and make a solid unit.

I hope they don't string us to the last few weeks to decide wether or not they make the playoffs. I could at least salvage some of the fall weather.I believe this will be a lost season.

Before the season started I read sports articles about how the Eagles were Superbowl bound and that if they didn't win the Superbowl then Reid should quit before he gets fired. Having said that, what the heck if going on with this team??? We'll be lucky to even MAKE the playoffs at this point and that means going undefeated down the stretch, which seems impossible given where we are in the standings now. Might as well tank the rest of the season so we at least make this season mean something by getting a higher draft pick. This is embarrassing for Eagles football. You don't give up 30 points against a mediocre team and expect to win many games. We need new coaching pronto.

Saw on espn that the Eagles have the worst 4th quarter point differential in the league (-36) and have lost 4 games when leading after the 3rd quarter. Not having good linebackers is the major reason the defense crumbles. Someone should tell Reid about this.

I think this team would be better with a different defensive coordinator. The offense is fine. But then again, who picked the defensive coordinator?

HA! all that talk about the eagles being the "dream team" was all coming from you eagle fans. Just because you guys sign a pro bowl cornerback, you guys annoited yourself the Dream Team . HAHAHA what a joke Don't blame Reid cuz he's an awesome coach and this is coming from a Cowboy fan. Keep on squaking Eagle fans. btw, The Bears aren't mediocre. at least they have a winning record. its the eagles who are mediocre.

I don't know what game you guys were watching but the one I watched showed me that the refs bet their money on the Bears after getting the league memo that the Eagles were to lose at all costs. In that respect they did their job and did it well by handing call after decisive call to the Bears. A turnover here, a penalty there. If the refs weren't so obviously on the take last night the Eagles win by 10 or more. I've never seen Andy get that bent out of shape about officiating as he did last night. He flipped out at them. It seems pretty clear the league doesn't want Vick holding any trophies.

Aside from flagrant conspiracies our D was unable to tackle the first 9 halves of football they played and unable to finish three fourth quarters. Then the Eagles D put in 5 solid halves of football and won two of those three games. And then they stopped tackling again the last two halves.

In those 5 halves the Eagles tackled well they had Nate Allen flying around and hitting dudes like he was a stone cold Ray Lewis murderer. Without him the D reverted to tacking.

The inexplicable (jk) thing was the Eagles' Dline unable to penetrate one of the worst Olines in the league. I don't know what game you were watching but I saw some really incredible routine holding there. The Bears figured out the refs weren't calling holding on them and started tackling Eagles pass rushers. Watch the tape and count the bloody tackling.

This game was a scam plain and simple. A bleedin' magic act made of not-so-sleight-of-hand.

Remainder of this year is now preparation for next. O is fine, although someone needs to teach DeSean how to run a precise route. Take him out in the red zone.

D is young and will develop. Castillo move may prove to be bonehead - let's give him the next eight to prove himself. Will need a MLB for next year - Chaney is too small for this scheme. Corners playing sooooo soft! Reid needs to challenge them. Let young guys like Rolle, Graham, Coleman, Jarrett and Allen develop and let's look to 2012!
