Maclin to practice; Cox sits out with migraine

Before practice Andy Reid said that four players would sit out the day, but he forgot to mention Fletcher Cox.
The rookie defensive tackle missed practice Wednesday because of a migraine. Cox, of course, could have had one in between the start of practice and when Reid spoke. He had one during Sunday's game and left only to return later.
"It's like a pulsing sharp pain going through your head," Cox said. "If anybody got it they'll know my pain."
Cox said said he started getting migraines in college. He said he did not know what caused them, but he was going to the doctor on Thursday to be evaluated. Still, Cox said that he expected to play Sunday against the New York Giants.
In other injury news, Jeremy Maclin (hip) returned to practice and was a full participant, as were linebacker Jamar Chaney (knee), wide receiver Riley Cooper (collarbone), defensive end Brandon Graham (ankle), linebacker Mychal Kendricks (bicep) and running back LeSean McCoy (rib).
Maclin said that he would play against the Giants.
Along with Cox, safety Colt Anderson (knee), long snapper Jon Dorenbos (ankle), tackle King Dunlap (hamstring) and linebacker Akeem Jordan (hamstring) did not practice.
Asked if he would be ready by Sunday, Dunlap said, "Probably not." Demetress Bell is expected to start in his place for the second straight game.
FROM EARLIER:
Jeremy Maclin will practice on a Wednesday for the first time since before the season started, Eagles coach Andy Reid said.
The wide receiver did not play Sunday at Arizona and has been battling hip pointer injuries since the opener against the Browns. Maclin's absence was felt against the Cardinals as the Eagles offense failed to get into any rhythm for much of the game.
Riley Cooper, who hasn't played all season becuase of a broken collarbone, will practice, as well, but Reid was uncertain about his status for the Sunday night's game against the New York Giants.
Reid said that tackle King Dunlap (hamstring), linebacker Akeem Jordan (hamstring), long snapper Jon Dorenbos (ankle) and safety Colt Anderson (knee inflammation) would not practice Wednesday.
Dunlap did not play Sunday. Demetress Bell started in his place and struggled. Reid said that Bell was still his starter at left tackle. Still, when asked about Bell and center Dallas Reynolds, the coach said that all the reserves will take practice repetitions this week, per usual. Rookie Dennis Kelly is currently backup up Bell and Steve Vallos is behind Reynolds.
Reid said that Brian Rolle and Jamar Chaney will split practice reps at weak-side linebacker with Jordan sidelined. Rolle jumped in for Jordan on Sunday after he left with a hamstring strain.
The Eagles signed long snapper Kyle Nelson to the practice squad on Tuesday in case Dorenbos can't go Sunday. The Eagles would have until Saturday afternoon to add Nelson to the 53-man roster and cut another player if they needed him to suit up.
Reid also said that Damaris Johnson would remain his punt returner. The rookie has struggled this season and fumbled against the Cardinals during one return. Reid did say that he always has the option to use DeSean Jackson as a returner.
- Hell, I'd try Dennis Kelly at left tackle, can't be as bad as Bell.
Indeed. It's pretty bad when you're thinking to yourself, I can't wait for King Dunlap to get healthy.

Watkins played some tackle in college, I really think Dunlap has played better at guard than tackle as a pro, so far. Paul SoTX
Cox probably don't know his migraines are from Aspartame in the speed drinks like Red Bull... sweeteners like equal and it's even in a lot of these energy drinks.. aspartame is Rat poison your elected officials were paid to green light into our foods! I know this by experience..it's the aspartame killing your brain. ubetterlisten
Move Dunlap to RT, Herremans to LG because Mathis sucks and keep Bell at LT. That's the best lineup. MrMiles1
