Maclin defends DeSean
Jonathan Tamari
Jeremy Maclin defended DeSean Jackson today, saying he watched the broadcast of the Eagles game Thursday and doesn't think Jackson was ignoring his teammates, as was reported.
"I don’t think they understood what exactly was going on. I think everybody was kind of assuming things because of whatever's going on with him," Maclin said. "It's unfortunate that people do those type of things."
Maclin said that teammates listen to one another on the sidelines "10 times out of 10."
"If somebody who you're playing with is talking to you, you pay attention. I honestly don't think Vince (Young) was talking to him," when the reported incident was caught on camera.
"Obviously they're going to try to find anything that they can to nit pick so it's unfortunate that that happened like that," Maclin said. "I highly doubt that he's talking to DeSean right there."
He wasn't talking to Desean, he was actually talking to Cooper, if the media would be willing to show the entire clip, you will Cooper responding to Young. Fact is if you look at the clip closely you will also see that Young wasn't looking at Desean, however he was looking past Desean. The Philly media has to be the worst, they are always trying to stir up controversy. charmaine- I completely agree. They stir up this controversy and then scratch their heads about why the team distrusts the media.

4-12 please,,, and when April comes around - DRAFT A QB in Rd 1 - Draft a LB rd 2, draft another LB in rd 2, draft a safety in rd 3,, use the rest of the picks on whatever you like! – it’s on me! With all this talent who needs a real defensive coordinator 2011- The Eagles have no offensive line, and you want to draft a QB..... really?? We cant get a yard on 3rd down and you want to draft a QB? Really?? We cant keep Vick healthy and you want to draft a QB.... The Eagles are a Right Offensive Tackle, Middle Linebacker, and Center away from winning the whole thing.
Minnesota VICKings - charmaine - That wasn't the Philly media. That was the NFL Network, they didn't pan out to show Cooper sitting beside DeSean. Philly media was reacting to what the NFL Network broadcasted. Still, there's no excuse as to what happened last Thursday. Eagles are kicking themselves, and they should, because had they won that game and the Arizona game they would be right there in the wildcard if not division leader since everyone in the NFC East lost over the weekend and the wild card teams, Detroit, Atlanta, and Chicago all lost as well.
- Jeff McLane was the one who asked the question about DeSean speaking to Seahawk's defensive players before the game. Then almost every former player on NFL network and Ike Reese shot that silly notion down as being very normal. But who is counting?
The media reacted to the media. Sounds like standard operating procedure. retzlaff
None of this matters. We stink. We will next year too as long as Vick and Jackson are major parts of the offense. DallasEagle- Blaming Vick for the Eagles fall is like giving Tebow credit for the Broncos winning.... You would have to be a complete Idiot to believe that. At least when Vick was in the game we had a fourth quarter lead to GIVE AWAY! Now they are just getting blown out, Fool.

That's the problem with this year's team: they only list each other on Twitter, not on the sidelines. The Birds need more sideline listing, definitely! Leegles
Please !!! Vick sucks now and always has sucked. He can run fast. WOW !! He's dumb as a stump. The friggin' guy can't even learn to slide. Now if the game was dog torturing, Vick would be a Hall of Famer paws down. techdiver
Maclin is correct. Young had to have been speaking with someone else, or it sure looked that way on the TV. The media here "bloes." RichieLemon
DeThug is damaged goods. No amount of money will keep him from hearing footsteps. He doesn't want to get bingoed again. He's scared. Alligator arms are on him now. techdiver

Bolster the O-line. Bring in veteran safeties and properly sized LB's and we might have a chance some day. Of course as soon as they do, we will have no offensive weapons. blueye7
