LEWIS PLAYING

It appeared as if the Eagles might have one more inactive player than they planned today against the Minnesota Vikings.

As the Eagles went through warmups at the Metrodome, wide receiver Greg Lewis was carted off the field and he was still riding around in a cart 10 minutes before the game.

Lewis, despite having a strained ankle, is playing and was a deep target on an incomplete pass by Donovan McNabb during the Eagles' first offensive series.

The Eagles' inactives were tight end L.J. Smith, running back Lorenzo Booker, linebacker Joe Mays, defensive end Bryan Smith, offensive tackle Chris Patrick, guard Shawn Andrews and defensive end Victor Abiamiri.

More coverage

The Vikings are playing without defensive tackle Pat Williams and defensive end Ray Edwards.
