Lurie to meet reporters Tuesday
Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie will meet with reporters at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and perhaps provide some answers to the questions lingering around his football team.
It's unusual for Lurie to speak to the media following the season, but his coaching staff has come under an unusual amount of scrutiny and criticism this season. It is widely expected that coach Andy Reid will be back, but no one within the organization has spoken publicly on the issue, so Lurie's press conference should provide some clarity.
If Reid is back, the next question will immediately turn to defensive coordinator Juan Castillo, and after that I imagine DeSean Jackson's name might come up.
There has been significant speculation about all of their futures, but no real answers. Tuesday should provide some insight.
Hey Lurie.....Watch that Giants game last night? They were on Cruz Control as your sitting home! Enjoy your offseason! MRD- your season will end next weekend. enjoy the hotpocket.

Comment removed.- think of that on your own - catchy comeback - 3d grade 3 times did you well....
GMEN7777 - EVERYONE knows the Eagles are currently the best team in the NFC East; it's not even close. They just peaked a bit too late. So enjoy your shot-lived postseason knowing you backed into it and that you're going down, hard and soon.

Lurie will be announcing that PeeWee Roseman has been demoted to garbage man. Astro Jones- The quartet of Banner, Roseman, Reid and Castillo has forgotten more about football than any of you armchair quarterbacks will ever know. Mr Lurie will be announcing that he is moving the Gold Standard team out to LA and next season they will start out 1-4, squeak into the playoffs and get beat like a rug in the first round of the playoffs. The people of LA will be largely unimpressed and the playoff game will be blacked out because they couldn't sell enough tickets. The replacement team in Philadelphia, owned by Pat Croce, will be named the Philadelphia Silver Standard and will win a championship in their third year in existence. Whether you like it or whether you don't like it, learn to love it because it's the truth according to the Tonner and it's the best thing going today.
I seriously doubt if Lurie is going to cast any light on the DeSean Jackson situation. He'll probably just say that they love Jackson and hope that they can work out something mutually agreeable to bring him back. SteveS11
I'm hoping for a news conference worthy of a Coors commercial. kjuggs77- Playoffs???Playoffs? You kidding Me? Playoffs??

I bet MRD was not on this board 9 of the last 10 years the giants were putrid....we will save a seat on the couch when you guys get trounced next week Wvu9494
enough already. yo Andy, see ya. defg0003- Lurie is a wimp and is more intimidated by Reid then the media. He is only speaking to the media to endorse another season with the 500 lb ball of frustration....oh, and that Reid knows best, so Castillio will be back next year too. I truly hate the man
