Justice, Graham placed on PUP list

POSTED: Thursday, July 28, 2011, 3:11 PM

DeSean Jackson isn't the only key Eagles player missing from the start of training camp.

Defensive end Brandon Graham and tackle Winston Justice were each placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list today, meaning each will be sitting out at least the start of camp.

Jeremy Maclin and Asante Samuel were excused for personal reasons, the team said. It's not yet clear when either will report.

Graham and Justice each suffered knee injuries in December. Graham was long expected to miss the start of camp and probably part of the season. Justice's absence is a surprise, though he hinted yesterday he might not be ready. For now, the job of protecting Michael Vick's blind side falls to King Dunlap.

We need to sign a free agent tackle. Dunlop will have Vick on IR halfway through game #1.

No, not King Dunlap. Wait, wasn't he is Nintendo's Mike Tyson Punchout? No that was King Hippo.

Pup describes Justice's career. Hugh Douglas was right, he isn't mean or tough enough to play RT. Left to right: Peters/McGlyn/Jackson/Watkins/Todd H

Eagles got DRC and Babin. Great moves and now we need LB. Let's hope it's Tulloch.

With Justice on the PUP, Vick getting killed from the blind side just became less of an issue.

With DRC and Babin in the fold, now all they have to do is get Tulloch so we don't have to put our hands over our eyes when the D trots onto the field.

@PinkstonsStrengthCoach: Only if they move Herremans to RT. I don't see Dunlap as an upgrade over Justice.

I'll be surprised if Graham isn't IR'd or even done for good. 3 High draft picks wasted...

Tulloch seems to be a good fit according to some ex-Eagles (Trot and Hugh)...

Both should be on the PUP List (Professionally Unable to Perform)!

The Eagles did well in the Kolb trade. Now they need to focus on right tackle. They need to address Vick's blindside, and the Justice injury is a blessing if it motivates the FO to address the position. Good young tackles are available. Willie Colon from Pit, Ryan Harris from Den, Gaither from Bal, Bushrod from NO. They need to move on it now!!!

@ OiP - agreed. How Dunlap hangs onto a roster slot is beyond me. He makes Justice look like Runyan.

Bring back Jon Runyan! They're doing nothing but butting heads in DC, so he's in shape for football.
