Long snapper Jon Dorenbos left Friday's 31-22 preseason loss to the New England Patriots with a concussion. Brent Celek was the backup long snapper, but without Dorenbos, the Eagles went for a fourth down and a two-point conversion that they would not normally have done.

"We haven't had Brent take a lot of snaps," coach Chip Kelly said. "He's snapped a lot from a punt standpoint, but not from field goals. Not fair to put him in that situation."

In other injuries, inside linebackers Casey Matthews (knee) and Jamar Chaney (shoulder) left the game. So did outside linebacker Chris McCoy (knee).

McCoy had 1 1/2 sacks before he exited the game.
