Jason Babin returns to practice
Zach Berman, Inquirer Staff Writer
Jason Babin returned to practice on Monday for the first time since suffering a calf injury on July 28. He expects to play Sunday against the Cleveland Browns with the same rotation as usual.
"I'm about 98.9 [percent]," Babin said.
Babin, a two-time Pro Bowl defensive end, did not participate in any of the preseason games or throughout training camp after the injury.
"I was bummed," Babin said. "I trained my butt off this year to get prepared. That's what the way it goes. Kind of, looking back now, I'm glad it happened. It really made me think about how precious every snap is."

Safety Colt Anderson had full participation in practice after missing the entire offseason while recovering from a torn ACL. Anderson was activated from the physically unable to perform list on Friday.
He said it was coach Andy Reid's decision whether he's able to play on Sunday.
"I could play; I could not," Anderson said. "It's all still up in the air."

As expected, quarterback Michael Vick practiced and took the first-team snaps. He said he made throws he hasn't been able to make in awhile.

WR Riley Cooper (collarbone) did not practice. Casey Matthews (ankle) practiced.
MV7 = 7 wins! start Edwards of Foles, Vick will never be a winning QB!
With all this talent who needs a real defensive coordinator?
Who cares if Babin is ready, it's pretty clear that it is the widenine not Babin, at least one of the other ends will play the run yourdaddy!- Yo Daddy methinks that after this season when the Grahams and Hunts of the team step up...Babin and his inflated, overpaid salary will either take a pay cut or go elsewhere.
rockinrob - Agreed and i have to believe it's Hunt, he is playing like a man possessed. Maybe the Barcellona Dragaons will return that way he can run with the Bulls
It's all about Vick. If he plays smart, stay healthy and minimize the turnovers. I believe we have a great chance but then again who knows Foles can save the season. smoothjaime- I stopped reading right after you said "if he plays smart"

Vick can play like Superman, if there is not sufficient pocket protection he will eventually be beaten into a coma behind that Offensive Line. They are not a championship offensive line just yet, if they will ever become. Dexter
Damn right Dexter. A Superbowl team doesn't have King Dunlap at LT. dragoon6
LT doesn't matter as much for a Leftie QB...you dummies never cease to amaze me. Duh... BirdinParadise
Trent Richardson will be darn tough to stop. Running the ball thru Bablins Gap is the route to success. Browns open 1-0. Birds? 4 wins total. mccloudmj- YES, THIS IS AN ABSOLUTELY A HORRIBLE EAGLES TEAM AND THEY ARE GOING TO HAVE ANOTHER LOUSY SEASON (REID SHOULD HAVE BEEN CANNED YEARS AGO). BUT, THEY ARE NOT GOING TO LOSE TO THE BROWNS WHO ARE STARTING A ROOKIE QB. BUT, IF THEY LOSE TO THE BROWNS, I'LL ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU ARE A GENIUS AMONGST MEN CLOUD MJ.

When a player says "98%", he means about 80% at best.
I'd rest him until he really is completely 100%. fmMD
Any other QB steps in there they are protected wonder why that is. Ah I know, they don't hold onto the ball forever and they are where they are supposed to be (not running around when there isn't even pressure. Stop blaming the hits on the line, they are on Vick. Sidewinder7
They went 4-0 in the preseason, are playing a bad tam who they are going to completely trash, and still this crybabies and whiners rule the board. It's just amazing how negative some of you guys are. Paul SoTX
Will Babin be ready by Sunday? Let me check . . . Oh, training camp is over. Yes he'll be ready. Did you see some of the stuff he was tweeting about doing on his injured calf? calm weather
