Jackson to Jackson: Stop the nonsense
Bob Brookover
Jamaal Jackson loved DeSean Jackson's 64-yard touchdown reception during the second quarter of the Eagles' 34-14 rout of the Kansas City Chiefs.
He didn't like the head-first-dive-into-a-front-split celebration so much.
"I told him, 'Great run, but let's try to exhibit some professionalism,' " the Eagles' center said. "There's nothing wrong with a little celebration, but once you put your body at risk, that's when you want to take a step back and look at the big picture. There's nothing wrong with just handing the ball to the ref."
Jamaal thinks DeSean might heed his advice, especially because the receiving Jackson also vomitted on the sideline after his celebration.
"I've been trying to talk to these young guys," Jamaal said. "I tell them, 'Hey man, this is our jobs. It isn't some pickup game. I told him that right after he scored. After that, he was on the sideline throwing up. You run that long of a time, you need to save some of your energy. He was hurling. I might seem like the old guy out there, but my position on this team is to try to lead these guys by example."
Eagles coach Andy Reid didn't make a big deal about the celebration, saying simply that it was a good indication to him that Jackson's strained groin was feeling OK.
WOW! A football player PUKED....get the point......now get off the Super Bowl hurling incident..clearly the people who constant spew McPuke jokes never pushed their mushy bodys before or competed with all out effort or been in a huddle....if so, you woulda understood that puking does happen..... Sounds like Jamaal Jackson's hatin' because he's never been in the end zone. Hey DeSean, if the haters want to hate then it's their loss. Unpretentious

DeSean is a super star WR in the making. He needs to make sure he fulfills those aspirations. Doing the end zone flip and split will make sure he doesn't fulfill the "super star" status. C'mon, DeSean, you're smarting than that!! walt1

Typical Jack-A** widereceiver acting like he's never been in the end zone before. Maybe someone should remind him it was against the Kansas City Chiefs that he was scoring against, not the Steel Curtain Pittsburgh Steelers defense of the 70's or the 86 Chicago Bears... What a dumb-a**. It's only a matter of time before he hurts himself doing something like this and he pulls up lame or something. BosoxJohnny
It was a nice flip n split and he's lucky he only ralfed after that instead of seriously injuring his groin. But not to make excuses for him but u can tell he's having fun and that he's a 21yr old kid like jimmyeagles stated he'll grow out of it in 2yrs he'll be handing the ball to the ref. But if thats all we hav to worry about is his touchdwn celebrations then we're in great shape. GO EAGLES!!! diehardeagle
Andy should have dug into him. Stupid celebrations can hurt the player and the team. Just ask Gus Frerotte. WVEagle
With the Andrews Sisters on the sidelines and nobody else seeming to take charge it's nice to see an O-Lineman assuming some leadership. I'm sure DeSean won't listen but still... Stairs08

Whoda knew Jamaal Jackson was such a leader on the squad. I love the low key leaders. The William Fullers not the Hugh Douglas', god I'm getting old. DedaninFlorida
